My new pickup won't work!! HELP!!
Yesterday I bought a DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues to put in the bridge of my Standard Strat. I took the old one out easy enough, black is ground and white is hot. The instructions for the new one say bare and green go to ground and red is hot. Great really easy. Took me about 10 minutes to get it installed. I turn it on and no sound. Well not no sound, just very faint. So then I take it apart again and reverse the leads, red to ground and green to switch. Still nothing. I even tried red and green to switch and just bare to ground. Nothing. I tried a few other things but still no sound. So, I give up and am asking for help. Anyone here have any good advice that could get me through this problem? Anything would help.
