Today I did a test-finish on a piece of scrap Tyggve shelf. It looks like it darkens the grain somewhat, which is good, and yellows the wood a tiny bit, which is good as well. The grain seems to be open still, so I guess it will need quite a few layers.
Furthermore, I made a logo in Inkscape:
I can't get myself to take it apart yet for finishing though.
