Just a footnote leftyjay,
Every consider transcribing that solo you played over getbent's country backing track. Just getting into Jazz and country out of a heavier blues and metal style. IT goes without saying soloing over changes is much more complex than just playing pentatonic or harmonic minor stuff. I wonder how many of us would be grateful to have that solo written out to learn from?
Just a thought-- Where can one find a good country solo written out in Tab to learn from? Someone once said to play music well one must first imitate, then assimilate and then innovate.
