Battery power for stomp boxes

Ok..so this is not a stomp box question, per se....but pretty close

For years I've used 9v batteries in my TS-9 and Rat because that was the easiest way to avoid extra noise in the circuit. I started looking for alternate power sources that might also avoid this noise. I've read reviews on the Visual Sound One Spot, the DC Brick and Voodoo Lab Pedal Power. While many people use them without a problem, all have had at least a few reviewers who say that they added AC hum to their signal. Since I don't even want to go down that road, I started thinking about using rechargeable 9v batteries instead.

It seems to me, that some time in the past, I was told that the majority of rechargables don't put out a true 9v but that there was one company that made a rechargable that did.

If I'm not dreaming all of this up and there is some validity to this, does anyone know the brand name of this battery?

Thanks
