I'm going to add Mick Ronson who played Telecaster (Gun Metal Blue).
Check out the instrumental "Sweet Dreamer" on the Hunter-Ronson 'YUIORTA' LP --- gorgeous, lyrical playing. That cut made me realize that Tele's had sounds I never imagined them to be capable of.

I'm pretty sure that Richard Lloyd used Strat mostly on 'Marquee Moon'.
At least he never played live with Tele.

I need to mention the little known Canadian jazz legend Ed Bickert who played a tele.
