I am building a Tweed Deluxe 5E3 and want some opinions on transformers.
Under consideration are the Hammond #270X power tranny
(41VA, sec. 240-0-240, DC ma 40, Fil.#1(rct) 5.0v @ 2a, Fil.#2(htr) 6.3v @ 1.5a.) and #1620
(20W, 6600 ct, 4/8/16 ohm, max. DC per side 158mA) P-P output tranny. Both are less than $75 from
www.angela.com.
Any other suggestion or source for reasonably priced 5E3 suitable transformers?
