Just an update.
While I was at a music store recently to stock up on strings and such I picked up a demo Daddy O for $20. I was in a hurry and I figured at that price if I don't like it, I'm not out much so I didn't bother trying it out at the store.
Got it home later and started playing with it.
Not what I was expecting at all. This thing isn't an overdrive pedal, it's a distortion pedal, plain and simple. This thing puts out WAY more gain than I was looking for. It's not that driven, sustaining distortion either, it's nasty fuzzy distortion. It's not neccesarily a bad sounding pedal, just not what I was expecting at all. I'm only out $20 so I'm not too worried about it, but I thought I would post back so that anybody looking for an inexpensive OD pedal should probably look elsewhere.
