I own a 74 Strat... it's not a ducky strat... It doesn't quack.. Mostly because of the pickups and addition electronics...

Not so much on the Steve Howe thing... he used a Strat on the Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe album, but the VAST majority of all the other material he has done has been a Gibson ES-175 as well as various other Gibsons (LP Jr, 355, etc), and occasionally a Tele.
