My Pinecaster is a GENUINE South Carolina Southern Yellow Pine Body or GSCSYPB for short. (keep up with the acronyms folks)

And man does it have some dents from me playing clubs regularly with it. No buckle rash cause I dont wear huge belt buckles. But I have dropped it, knocked it over, bumped into stuff, and even had a schaller strap lock "strip out" and the whole deal come tumbling to the ground.

But it still sounds like it always has. If not a bit more darker than it original did a year ago when I built it.

But i think if your not as clumsy as I am, your pine body should be in good shape for a good long time.

Back to the subject at hand.

I always figured Leo just used what was always readily available and I considered adding a truss rod and improvement on the ole Tele.
