You might want to check out the Epiphone Triggerman 60 DSP. It has what they call "E-valve tube tone circuitry" and it really does sound like a tube amp especially on the clean channel. I gig with this amp and use pedals thru the clean channel and can get a wide variety of sounds. It's very lound and also has some cool features like a DI out so you can run it directly thru a PA if you choose. The best part is that you can get it for under $300.
