I am glad you saw the light my brother... I did a similar thing, I started with an expensive Gibson Les Paul, then sold it cause it was to fancy for an American Strat, wasn't really impressed, so I sold it and bought my first tele... A MIA Chrome Red tele with a perfect neck! I play 2-5 hours a day now, even days I work a full 8 hour shift... I play so much that my wife (in order to spend time with me) let me buy her her first tele to teach her how to play.
