Hi ya'll. I picked up a MIJ 84-87 Tele awhile back in a trade. It's stipped to the bare wood and I'm trying to decide on how to have it finished. My thoughts are as follows:

Red, White, and Blue (like Buck and Don)

Silver Flake (again like Buck and Don)

or even just going clear coat with a Black or Tortoise guard

Let me know your thoughts.

I should mention that it's a maple board and I believe that Buck and Don's sparkle's were Rosewood board.
