While I am a tele fanatic, I do have other guitars.

However I do not consider my ASAT Classic an 'other' guitar.

In my view it is an evolved tel.

Some people may think that evolution is an improvement, some don't, it's a personal preference thing.

The fact is that Leo was an experimenter and the G&L was the means for him to continue to express himself.

I like my G&L bridge in particular. I like the fact that when I ordered the thing I was given the choice of a wider and fatter neck at no extra cost.
The pups are much louder than fenders and while they still have the 60 cycle issue it's not as bad as some of the Fenders. The 'voice' is different but it's still very much a tele.

My ASAT has absolutely no issues.

If I was only allowed to keep one of my guitars, it certainly would be a strong contender.
