Did I see this review on TGP?? I have a Richter too, great amp for the $$! Actually, a great amp at any price! Less than half of what Fender is charging for their new RI.
Put a NOS 5y3 in there. I have a Weber copper cap on the way too to see how that works. It should eliminate one rattle!
Personally I don't see the need for pedals with that amp as it has very little headroom. Playing out with it I turn it up to 6 or 8 and use the volume on my Guitar. Tele -> 5E3 is the perfect combination (unless you need loud & clean!)
Contact custom amp covers, I just got one from them and it's pretty nice.
