wman sound....

Ho...it can be argued that tune and its guitar sound...along with Don Richs playful lower string style, defined country guitar as its regarded today...by any means its an excellent tune to start with to learn modern country phrasing and technique.....the secret is syncopation and leaning on the flatted seventh tones....to play the working man rythm....begin in the key of A major....fret across the 1st 4 strings with the 1st finger of your fretting hand @ the 5th fret....pluck the 3rd and 4th strings and hammer on the 3rd string with the 2nd finger @ the 6th fret....this will hook you the interval sound you need.....apply syncopation by *pedaling* off the A string open in and alternating sequence to the 3rd string hammer-on....I can show you a lot better than I can type it out...anyway, hope this helps some....later, spyder
