I can't actually say I am a huge fan of all their music, I find a lot of it (californication and by the way etc) way too middle of the road and boring. However, i did see them at hyde park (i was front row- 8 or 9 metres away from john) and they were sublime. One of the best gigs I have ever been to. I am mainly just a fan of John's impeccable guitar picking, particularly on the near-perfect 'bloodsugarsexmajik' album. I have more respect for the guy than I could have for any one band, including the whole of the chilli peppers. His solo work is superb also.
like them or not, the chillis and all their members (no innuendo intended
) are incredibly influential to music today. <3 john
