I just put all new electronics in an Affinity Tele. I replaced both 500k pots with 250k, used a .022 cap, put in a new 3-way, and installed Fender Original Vintage pups in both positions. The problem that I am having is that the vol and tone pots have very little effect on the output. I have triple-checked my wiring (wired just like a Hwy-1 per schematic on Fender site). The pups are 7.5 and 8.0. Pots ohm out at about 280k. Cap is good. I even jumpered in the old control set to test the response with the new pups and it works great.......What gives???
