Thanks Stu, the things behind the amps - eggcrate foam glued to 1/2" insulation foam covered with funky fabric. I used to have them on the wall, but I don't think they did much there. When I put up the foam currently there, I didn't want them to go to waste so I stacked them behind the amps. What I think really helps is putting the amps on platforms with carpet spikes (like on the bottom of good stereo speakers), it keeps the vibrations from the floor and walls.
