I have a beefier bridge pickup that I want to try that is 20% overwound which may work well on this guitar although I didn't like it on my traditional style Tele.

Is there actually talk of an American reissue in the works?
I bet there would be enough interest to make a run.

I'm also thinking about using an overwound pup in the bridge at some point, but I'll see how the stock one works for me. Anyone know what type pots (250K?) are used in the reissues.... and the originals?

I saw a US made Telecaster Deluxe (custom shop) that I think was on display at NAMM, but I haven't heard anything about Fender making a new run of Customs. I don't even know why they would bother in either case since the cunife magnets used with the original buckers cannot be replicated.
