He was a really, really great player, but it needs to be noted that he actually replaced the guys who replaced Randy. Kurt Winter and Greg Leskiw (who was replaced by Don McDougal) were really quite fine guitarists, too, in fact Kurt Winter should have been a household name (great player, great songwriter, great advertiser for Garnet Amps!
).
The first rock concert I ever saw was the Guess Who in August, 1973, and it was the best show I've ever seen...
