Pretty nice sounding...for a $20 yard sale buy.

Nowdays you buy a stereo speaker you get a stereo speaker you buy a instrument speaker you get a instrument speaker. I think back in the early days up to the 70's a speaker like my CTS 12 inch ALNICO could be found in a stereo or a amp or a organ. Same Speaker. The CTS 12 inch speakers I took out of a 1969 Silvertone Stereo sound great in a 2x12 box I built with my Silvertone 1472 using that box and having my main speaker in the amp disconected as they are both a 4 ohm load. I made a plate on my amp that has 4 and 8 ohm jacks on it with the speaker in my amp hooked up with a quarter inch plug on it so I can use the main speaker of a extension cab. Now I am not saying any stereo speaker out of a old system maybe good for a lower powered tube amp but I think many are.
