More responsive controls and better quality hardware.Generally better quality woods and more impressive finishing.I personally like the headstock.I like fenders too but too many that i pick up are just average guitars.Dont know how anyone can say they have less soul than a fender, in my opinion G&Ls provide you with far more purchase satisfaction.
