Just be warned - as Mark Norwine says building an amp is not the cheapest way to get a good one. It is fun, and can keep you harmlessly occupied for hours (I know)provided you treat the high voltages with respect and care.

Plus it feels great when people come up and say 'What is that amp? It's only 18 watts - no way!'.
