What's the overall take on these little 2 EL84 amps ? I've heard they tend to be too bright (the 1x10" Celestion I'm looking at). I'm looking for a good overall home use, small jam amp and I've been interested in these since the big hoopla started a few years ago (when they were all on the "blow out" sales).

Basically, I'd like a decent cleanish tone with some depth, not an icepick amp that can't be tamed (especially with my tele). So, am I being foolish thinking a 1x10" amp will give me these tones ?

Any comments appreciated.
