He still plays up in the PNW. He has a dvd out (I've got it, it's pretty good, lots of talking and a pretty good burton cummings sound alike singer) and his bio by John Einarson is a fun read and helps you realize how stuff happens...
He played strats and gretsch and liked garnet amps (it would be fun to find one to play).... a few years ago he sold his old house (it was listed on the bay) and my wife and I toyed with buying (studio built in) but decided the rain would get us and decided to pass... it is a beautiful, cool house.
Anyway, he can still get it... his son Tal had a pretty big hit a few years ago "She's So High" and he is a good guitar player as well.
Okay--> let the feeding frenzy begin.... (btw, I saw the GW and BTO several times in the 70's... the best was BTO circa 1974-75 with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, Jo Jo Gunne and The Doobs.... definite contact high back then at the old Long Beach Arena for a little kid like me.... Bachmann (in the states pronounced Bock man but the family pronunciation is back man) used to do a solo using a drum stick as a guitar pick...
He has financed many of the Lenny Breau recordings and re-issues and has worked hard to have people hear the genius that was lenny breau.
