Regarding your pickguard choice, here's a site i forgot about for a while, but it's great for seeing what different options would look like on your guitar in a virtual way. Once you get the hang of it, it's a god send for potential designers. Mix the shades till you get close to your guitar colour. Add the pups, control plate etc, then try some different guards to see what works, without spending a dime. Just hit the tele symbol, then press i agree at the bottom. Will come in handy for the next project for sure
