I don't have much of a preference for maple fb's, tho all 4 of my Tele's have maple fb's. I have a rosewood fb on a 90s Strat and maple on a 70s, both play fine for me. Same thing with fret sizes, and fret radius. Maybe I prefer medium jumbo frets, but my fave Tele a 52RI has vintage size...I prefer the Fender 25.5" scale length, but I'm playing my 24.75" sl Gib Jr all the time now, no issues...I probably have too many axes, too little abiliity and don't play enough to develop preferences! But I dig em all.
