I'm going to second WickedGTR's statement about "learn from the people he learned it from." It's suprisingly easy to find real good quality recording of the original rockabilly recordings. Like I was saying earlier, I've been on a big rockabilly kick for the past year. I started with the Rockabilly Riot compilation I was mentioning, then I bought the Elvis Sun Sessions, the complete Johnny Cash Sun recordings, Eddie Cochran Greatest Hits, Gene Vincent's first two records (the ones with Cliff Gallup). That'll give you a solid foundation to start exploring newer stuff like the Paladins, Big Sandy, Reverend Horton Heat, Setzer, Deke Dickerson, our own Bill Kirchen, Chris Isaak

, etc. That's been my approach.
