Nah - I like a much more symmetrical burst (Heck I'd love to see a real dark shaded one like an old Gibson L00 from the 30's

but - I applaud BBB's choice of a plain top.

I played a real 1960 LP that old Randy Volin had in his shop about 10 yrs ago and he
hated it because it was a plain top. Had all the cherry still on it, completely un-faded and he couldn't even look at it.
He's one of those flamey dudes...
