The bassist in my band had a 1 Spot, which suddenly died. No hum, but there are people who claim that it produces from little to too much. Anyways, I've read that sometimes the 1 Spot goes out kamikazi-style, taking pedals along!
Anyway, wouldn't using individual power supplies be safer? In this case however, the issue at hand is the reliability of the power supply. So, why is any branded supply better than a OEM? Sometimes it might even be the same thing with a different sticker on it.
