I had one of those the moment they came out. I was in high school and Mr. Cobain was a hero of mine. Unfortunately the pickups just didn't sound like anything I wanted, no matter how I dialed in the amp. I ended up letting it go and wish I hadn't because now I feel like maybe I would have appreciated the tone a little more now. I think if it didn't drive an amp like my les paul at the time I had no use for it. Same reason I ditched a beautiful 50's RI tele with a sweet hipshot b-bender. They just didn't do Metallica well..
