I'd recommend the Highway One Texas to anyone looking for a tele. Great guitar, but no longer available and if you got one I'd probably change the pickups (great otherwise though).
The Baja will get alot of love on here, for good reason, it's a great guitar. I have a Baja neck on a Squier Classic Vibe Custom body that is waiting for pickups and electrics (got it all, just not had the time to put it together). The neck is fabulous.
Best thing you can do though is try as many tele's as you can get your hands on. The Classic 50s/60s are great, as are the MIM standards, the AV52RI gets alot of love (I've never played one), not a huge fan of the American Standard, but it may speak to you, American Special is a good guitar, been very tempted in white. Play as many as you can find and then spend your hard earned cash on the one you like best....it may be a cheap(ish) MIM stardard or it may be a much more expensive AV52RI. Enjoy the hunt and your eventual new purchase
