You'll see that for yourself, when you go audition them side by side. You could get one that is not right, then do all kinds of upgrades and fix all the things that may be wrong... or, you could just get a good one... plug it in... and play the **** out it!!!

Don't want to get into this argument, but I wouldn't suggest buying the MIM if you pick up one that "is not right"
If you do happen upon one that is "right" and want to do a swap for more vintage style parts down the road, it's a great platform for that IMHO. The pots + switch are same as American series now, I think.
