My Esquire has two knobs and a Shadow Kill Pot so I can have stealth stutter effects. Instead of messing with the Tele blade switch, I just press down on my volume pot, and "click"... kill switch. I'm using a Guitar Fetish blank control plate, drilled for just two pots.
Without a kill switch (or a 2-pickup guitar with separate voluem controls) you can't propoerly play James Honeyman-Scott's solo from "Tattooed Love Boys".
