It's funny, my buddy (who swears by his Strat - cause it's an MIA and he payed too much for it ...yeah...) isn't what you'd call "technicaly profecient" so when he broke a string one night I let him play my 72 Deluxe while I changed his string for him... he played a little number and then we took set break. So I asked him "so what was it like playing a totaly diferent guitar???" and he just stares at me and says "that thing nearly played it's self!!!! it just felt so COMFORTABLE and easy to play..." Now my 72 RI is far from a "typical Tele" but I thought that was pretty cool aye He's also the guy who "never saw the need for a tube amp" untill his POS Line 6 blew up the other day and he stumbled on a Vintage Super Reverb... now he's sheepishly admitting that his tone was ahem "lacking" and he can't believe "I ever played without one of these things" ... sometimes a big ear-to-ear smile is all the "told you so" you need to throw at a guy aye hahahahahaha
