Not an issue for me but can be confusing for some who may be reading..

$1000 is a higher end guitar to a $99 ENTRY LEVEL Guitar..

$599 is a higher end guitar to a $99 entry level guitar.

A $2000 Guitar can be an entry level guitar to a $4000 guitar I suppose....

I can't say but It feels like there are many here that just do not like Taylor guitars and are in love with the M brand or the G brand...it's like a turf war...

Maybe they played an equivalent Taylor and said..dang , this is great, but it was already too late they paid the bucks for the M or the G... or maybe the other way around...

Comparing axes in the same price point, my own personal experience is I prefer the Taylor 3 and 4 series for playability right out of the gate for my style of playing... I am really angered when you pick up a $2000 guitar and someone says..Oh it needs to be set up....and I tell store clerks this...

If I am asked by a student or another player what they should look for in an acoustic, the first question is always price...if it's up to $500..then that's an easy answer...if it's up to $1000 I just recommend they at least pick up a Taylor 114 or 214 and not pass them by....If they like them , fine,. if not..that's fine as well. Breedlove also has some very good offerings that play extremely well in this price point..which is NOT entry level...

One thing we all know, Martin has introduced a price point axe to compete with Taylors in that $1000 to $1500 range, make no mistake...Taylor cornered that market with very nice guitars, made in the US...Martin has a great name and reputation, they make fine Instruments, but they fell asleep... not everyone wants to or can spend a couple of grand and that's how Taylor came to be so popular, they make excellent Instruments in that mid price point range and when you pick one up...you don't hear..."It needs to be set-up"...

We all know the line...

"Taylor, you play one, you've played them all"...

Someone was paying attention at the T camp...

Regarding Taylors on the Worship Platform, I doubt it has anything to do with the brand name but more in line with worship players able to get a fine USA Instrument at a moderate price that sounds good thru a big system. My bet would be that's how it all started...think about it, for the last decade or two, Martin didn't even have a guitar to compete with Taylors in those lower price ranges...it's hard to get a $2000 guitar when all you have is $1000.

Again, someone at the T camp was paying attention and captured a market that was begging for attention.

So do you need a Taylor for P+W, ? " NO " you need a guitar you like, sounds good and one you can afford to buy !
