- did you try both inputs in channel 2?
- did you try them both after pulling out the first tube in channel one (V1)?
- can you get the tone you want in channel 2 with the reverb off? Maybe you need a little less reverb? What tube do you have in the reverb driver V3? if its not a 12AT7 it is not in spec.
- did you get the amp biased if you bought it new? they come biased cold.
- would you consider speaker swap? Cannibus rex's are known to warm them up nicely.
