I sold this Chander-bodied partscaster - spruce topped, chambered - with Mare 2324 pickups to a good friend.
He needed a guitar bad. I knew this was a great guitar, figured it would be easy to get another. Then heard recordings of the last gig on which I'd used it, and realized I'd made a bad mistake. Bought another tele - a very nice one, luthier made - and begged my buddy to trade the orange one back. He was vastly amused by all this, finally agreed, and I'll forever be relieved. This tele is unusual, sound not quite like anything else I've tried, and Don's pickups never fail to please.
