well according to things ive read and seen...sid could play after he learned some...in the doc one guy said sid got the first ramones album and learned to play the bass by learning every song on the album in one night...they said he was very smart guy with a good ear...please dont think im touting him as a guy who could play like someone who had ten years under his belt...he was messed up a lot on stage and couldnt play because of the drugs...but yeah as you said...malcolm liked that he was a train wreck and unpredictable...he was the poster boy for the punk some say

the album was done before sid joined the band...glen matlock was sacked during the album making and steve jones played most of the bass on the album
