Why is it "dishonest"? So someone likes the feel and look of an old guitar but can't afford 3k+.

Dishonest, because they can pretend its an original ? Sheesh.........

What if someone buys a vintage guitar ......... must they declare that they didn't put the wear on it themselves whilst on the road ?

As I said , I hate sticky new guitars - I like to feel the wood not lacquer - I must be dishonest - or a player who knows what he likes.
