I bought a new 08 FSR Western Tele that sat for 3 years in a store. Mine sounds/plays great and has the texas tele pickups. Mine never sold because it's real heavy at 9.5 pounds, but it doesn't bother me. I also have a CVC tele and 2011 american standard strat that weigh right about 7 pounds.

If you're worried about the weight ask the dealer before you buy.
