Does anyone have any tips for tuning with a Floyd? This thing is driving me crazy. I use the tuners on the bridge, get all the strings right, go back to the bottom string to check it, and it's sharp. I start over, get them all right, go back to the bottom string, and it's sharp. I start over... well, you get the picture. Just to make everything ever so much more fun, the guitar has a locking nut, so sometimes I run out of adjustment room at the bridge and have to get out the Allen wrench to loosen the nut and re-tune from the head. Golly, this is fun.
What makes it worse is that I don't even
use the tremolo; I hate 'em.
I guess I'll probably wind up putting a solid bridge on the guitar (it's a fairly nifty Charvel), but I hate being defeated by machinery and want to understand how this is supposed to be done.
Thanks in advance!
