Get used to the neck. A chunky neck will actually be easier to play once you get used to it. Really. I kid you not. They are much more comfortable once you acclimate. But it takes a bit of practice.

I used to think skinny necks were the way to go, then wondered why my left hand hurt all the time while playing. I got something with a fat neck, and voila...no more pain. I have short fingers. No problem.

Fender especially, is making just about everything with a "Modern C" neck, claiming players all want skinny necks. That's what they want us to believe. Total BS. They're wrong. I wouldn't buy 90% of the Fender guitars out there today.

Change the bridge and electronics. Simple.
