Here's the info on the preamp:
"Authentic 2-channel preamp design from the '60s featuring 3 x 12AX7 valves—everything from purring blues to mind-blowing crunch..."
It also has a switch to go from triode to pentode operation...don't know if that makes a difference in what we're discussing though.
