Still ain't modern enough. Fender has so many variations on their classic designs that the contemporary American Standard should be, well, contemporary. Block saddles. Locking tuners. Noiseless pickups with some serious range. 12" radius and medium jumbo frets. And yes, belly and forearm cuts. If you don't like the modern features, cool. Fender makes about 1,000 variations on "Telecaster" for you to choose from, mostly "vintage" to some degree or another.
