+1 on Lower Broadway for all of the above plus Gruhns guitar for drooling over vintage goodies. The Country Music Hall of Fame walk and museum are just a few blocks over and the Ryman auditorium is right behind Tootsies Orchid Lounge but I dont think you can get in there. Just know this is the "tourist" area but if you don't have a car there is alot you can walk to right on and just off Broadway. I'm pretty sure there are studio tours but probably not when being used. If you have a car there are lots of smaller venues spread around town. Bluebird cafe is famous for showcasing writers and others. Mike Henderson performs great blues show there on Monday nights. if you want to PM me I'll send you some club listings for next week.
