Can anyone recommend a teacher in central New Jersey?

Hello!

I'm looking into starting lessons and I'd really like to find a highly recommended teacher in my area.

I'm in Metuchen, New Jersey. I'm close enough to New Brunswick. I've tried searching the forums, but I was only able to find a few teachers in south Jersey. I'm into a variety of types of music, from classic rock to indie rock to alt country... but all mostly rooted in rock music. I'd like to gain as much versatility as I can, so I'd like to avoid someone who's over-specialized (for example a "jazz guitar" teacher or something like that).

I've searched the local craigslist, but everything seems so salesman-ish on there that it puts me off. I also tried asking around at local stores, but they all offer lessons in-store, making it impossible to get an unbiased opinion.

So, has anyone in central Jersey had a great experience with someone? Do you know of someone who has a good reputation as a teacher? Or could you point me in a direction I haven't yet tried?

Thanks so much for reading! Hopefully I can find the right teacher and get started soon!
