Exactly. We know it's gross, we know it's bad for you. Addiction doesn't mean you're blind to what the substance/act does, in fact, it makes you feel worse... and feeling like crap about yourself isn't conducive to quitting.
I just dumped out the remainder of my tin. Tomorrow will suck, but each day will suck less, for me, and for you, guitarpreston. It DOES get easier, and you find you'll think about it less and less, but don't let up!
