Not arguing, just trying to get this figured out. I figure if I can hear it in a PRS, I should be able to do it with a two pickup Tele.
What sound does installing a HOoP switch give, if not the 4th position strat sound? I'm getting confused.
PRS get that sound by combining the two inner coils in parallel, so they are close together. Their five way also has a position with the outer coils in parallel, which is more like a Tele in the middle position.
HOoP has similar frequency cancellation as a Strat with bridge/middle active, but it of course has its own thing going on.
