Finish Options

I know all about Reranch for nitro paints, but what are my options if I don't want nitro?

What rattle can paints are preferred for colors and clear on a locally available basis? In other words, what can I get from local Home Depot or Lowes or wherever, that will produce a good finish that'll last?

I've build quite a few basses, but I've always done natural finishes, either Formby's or TruOil, and one nitro sprayed. The bass I'm working on now, a replica of Michael Anthony's Jack Daniels bass, doesn't really require a nitro finish, but won't be a regular wipe-on either.

I've looked around locally and seen the Krylons and the Duplicolors and the like, but I'm confused as to which will give me a quality finish.

I'm looking for a two or three color (sort of) burst.
